Robi has a master's degree in information systems from the Department of Informatics at Lund University. She finished her master's degree in 2018.

Tell us about what you do today!
I am currently a Platform Product Owner for a headless CMS, Contentful, at Ingka Centres in Malmö, Sweden. Ingka Centres, part of the IKEA Group, specializes in managing shopping malls. In my role, I oversee and optimize our content management system to align with our business needs. I work closely with teams across UX design, development, product ownership, content authoring, and DevOps to enhance content workflows and integrate new features. Additionally, I’ve recently launched a YouTube channel where I share insights about my experience as an expatriate living in Sweden.

What is the main reason you work with what you do?
I’m passionate about the intersection of technology and content. Working with a headless CMS like Contentful allows me to leverage cutting-edge technology to improve how content is managed and delivered, which is both challenging and rewarding. Collaborating with a diverse team of professionals, including UX designers, developers, and product owners, adds to the excitement of my job. On a personal note, my YouTube channel allows me to explore and share my journey as an expatriate in Sweden, which aligns with my goal of contributing positively to society and connecting with a wider audience.

How did the Department of Informatics and LUSEM prepare you for working life and a career in your field?
The Department of Informatics and LUSEM provided a robust foundation in both technical and managerial aspects of information systems. Courses on strategic management of information systems, human-computer interaction design, and data analysis have been directly applicable to my current role. The focus on practical, real-world problem-solving and collaborative projects has been invaluable in preparing me for the challenges in technology and content management. These experiences have equipped me with the skills needed to work effectively in diverse teams.

What advice would you give yourself if you started your studies now?
I would advise myself to focus on developing both technical skills and soft skills from the start. Understanding emerging technologies and their applications is crucial, but equally important is developing strong communication, project management, and strategic thinking abilities. Building a strong professional network and seeking internships or hands-on experiences early in your studies can provide significant advantages. Staying curious and adaptable to changes in the industry can make a significant difference in your career as you navigate your career path.

Tell us about your expectations for the future.
Looking ahead, I aim to continue growing in my role as a product owner and deepen my expertise in content management systems. I also plan to continue making content in my YouTube channel and explore new initiatives like starting a blog with tips and tricks for living your best life in Sweden. Professionally, I hope to take on more leadership responsibilities and contribute to innovative projects that drive the B2B real estate industry forward. Personal growth and achieving my health goals are also a priority.

What do you prefer to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy shopping, cooking, and reading psychological drama novels and personal development books. Traveling and discovering new places are passions of mine, and walking helps me stay active and clear my mind. I also have a keen interest in fashion, style, and exploring new cultures, which ties into my ambitions for my YouTube channel and potentially launching a lifestyle blog about life in Sweden.

Any hidden talent?
One of my hidden talents is I have a knack for recreating dishes from restaurants or just by observing ingredients. I can easily replicate flavors and create my own versions of dishes, which is a fun and rewarding skill in the kitchen.
