Entrepreneurship Education and Entrepreneurial Learning

At the Sten K. Johnson Centre for Entrepreneurship (SKJCE), we have launched a research program that builds on our long-standing expertise in entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial learning.

entrepreneurial learning

This research area addresses how people learn entrepreneurship and how this process can be fostered and improved through innovative teaching methodologies. Additionally, the research investigates the impact of entrepreneurship education on the career behaviors of alumni and the surrounding entrepreneurial ecosystem. Furthermore, our research seeks to understand the role of cultural and contextual factors in shaping entrepreneurial learning experiences.

We focus on areas where there is a need for theoretical and empirical research to inform teaching practices and educational policy. By examining the long-term effects of entrepreneurship education and training, we aim to identify best practices that can be adopted by educational institutions globally. Some of the research projects in this area include:

  • Dynamics of learning in entrepreneurial ecosystems
  • Experiential learning pedagogy in venture creation programs
  • Alumni engagement
  • Sustainable entrepreneurship education
