LUSEM Strategy 2026–2030
As part of Lund University and the global academic community, the Lund University School of Economics and Management (LUSEM) proudly upholds core values of democracy, academic freedom, sustainability, and inclusivity.
LUSEM’s overarching objective is to deliver the highest-quality education and research, deeply rooted in these core values, that positively impacts society and empowers students to be responsible decision-makers and reflective practioners with a global mindset. Building on Lund University’s long tradition, international reputation as a centre of knowledge, learning, and culture, and the Magna Charta Universitatum, LUSEM commits itself to openness, integrity, and collective engagement in addressing global challenges, thereby transforming the international role of business schools.

From strategy to action
To turn strategy into action, LUSEM works through three roadmaps linked to the School’s core activities. These roadmap areas help guide priorities, development, and follow-up across the School. The more detailed roadmaps are used internally as living documents and are updated as LUSEM develops.

Internationalisation at LUSEM is a way of operating, not a separate activity. It strengthens education, research, and engagement by connecting people, ideas, and institutions globally. In addition, it enhances relevance, student employability, quality, and resilience while aligning with Lund University’s overarching goals for global engagement.

Quality System at LUSEM
LUSEM’s Quality System form the foundation of the School’s commitment to continuous improvement in education. Together, they ensure that our programmes deliver meaningful learning, align with strategic goals, and respond to both internal and external quality expectations.
The system connects LUSEM’s strategic ambitions with its daily educational practice, ensuring that learning outcomes are clear, assessed, and improved in a structured and collegial way. It supports the development of a learning-centred culture—one that enhances pedagogical innovation, student engagement, and evidence-based decision-making.
The quality framework also enables LUSEM to meet the requirements of Lund University’s quality assurance system, the Swedish Higher Education Authority (UKÄ), and international accreditations (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA).
