John Abrahamson, Chair of the Faculty Board, and Lars Ljungälv, Chair of the Senior Corporate Advisory board for the School, both agree on the kind of message the accreditations send.

Fredrik Andersson, Dean of LUSEM thanks all parties involved in bringing the accreditations home.
“It is increasingly important to succeed with international quality accreditations. I see this as a testimony of our dedication and high-quality work throughout the School. The evidence is mounting by the day that academic partners, students and prospective faculty take note of these credentials.”
Concerning EQUIS, this is a re-accreditation for another five years, and concerning AMBA this is the first time that the School has applied for – and been granted – an accreditation. AMBA is also valid for five years.
“A stamp of approval”
AMBA has specifically looked at the Master’s in Management Programme, MiM. AMBA accreditation symbolises the apogee of achievement in postgraduate business education and is earned only by the highest-quality post-graduate management programmes.
“This means that not only the School receives this stamp of approval from AMBA, but specifically the MiM programme performs at a high international quality level including strong corporate connections,” Deputy Dean Kristina Eneroth said.
LUSEM hereby enters a select group of some 150 business schools globally combining EQUIS and AMBA accreditation.
“Among the comments and recommendations that we have received from EQUIS and AMBA there is one common theme that is especially salient,” according to Dean Fredrik Andersson. “Both teams from the accreditation institutes have observed a strong collegial culture, good spirits and a widespread commitment to making a difference. It doesn’t get much better!”
Outstanding links between R&D and the corporate world
AMBA announced the accreditation of the Master’s in Management Programme on 21 August. From the press release:
“LUSEM offers one of the widest ranges of master's degree programmes in the Nordic countries; many of which top the list of Sweden’s most popular programmes and the School’s graduates are well prepared to be leaders of tomorrow.”
When EFMD announced the re-accreditation of LUSEM they, among other things, wrote that the School “is commended for its outstanding links between R&D and the corporate world.”
