Ageing, inequality and integration: Demographic challenges today and tomorrow
Together with three demographers at Lund University School of Economics and Management, we go from global trends in demography to current, research-based knowledge in ageing, inequality, and migration – with a focus on the local community.
All over the world, people are getting older, but who will take care of our elderly parents and, indeed, ourselves? What does inequality look like in Sweden today, compared to the rest of the world? Is there inequality between those who live in the city and those who live in the countryside? How does the integration of immigrants look today in our municipalities? What are the integration effects when an immigrant changes citizenship?
These questions we ask ourselves – and answer – during this seminar.
