International office at LUSEM

The International Office offers assistance and advice concerning;

The International Office at Lund University School of Economics and Management develops and administers international study opportunities at the School, including relations to more than 130 partner universities in more than 30 countries around the world. This also includes arranging events for potential and selected outgoing and incoming exchange students, such as

  • Study abroad fairs
  • Inspiration sessions
  • Q&A sessions
  • Pre-registration and introduction day, etc.

The International Office is also involved in the development of and logistics related to Short-term intensive programmes offered to partner institutions, for example the LUSEM and Hanken joint Winter School.

Student exchange

All undergraduate programmes at LUSEM have an elective fifth semester, where the students have an opportunity to apply for studies abroad at one of the school’s partner institutions, under the frame of a student exchange agreement. In return, the school welcomes students from those institutions to study on exchange for a semester or a year at LUSEM. Also, students on master and PhD-level have the possibility to take part in international collaboration.
Outgoing and incoming students and staff, as well as partner institutions, can contact the International Office with questions regarding:

  • Exchange studies
  • Double degree programmes
  • International Master Class
  • Summer exchange
  • Tuition-based mobility programmes

Exchange agreements

An agreement is normally the basis for student and staff mobility. The international office is responsible for the student and staff institutional exchange agreements within the Erasmus+ programme (EU and EEA), and for bilateral student exchange agreements with partners outside the EU-EEA area. An exchange agreement allows the participants to study at or visit the partner institution without paying tuition to that institution.

You can read more about Erasmus+ scholarships for teachers and professional staff, as well as other funding opportunities for international mobility, on Lund University Staff pages.

Please note that if you want to apply for an Erasmus+ mobility grant for teaching, the institutional Erasmus+ agreement needs to include teaching mobility. Contact the head of International Office to learn more. Erasmus mobility for professional development does not require an institutional Erasmus+ agreement.
