Canvas

Canvas is Lund Universitys university wide learning platform for teaching and learning. Canvas is used by countless universities from all over the world. Only in Sweden there are 26 institutions - an excellent common ground to enable cooperation and collaboration.

Canvas offers a wide array of features to support teaching and learning activities effectively. Through Canvas, various forms of communication are facilitated, including forums, chat, and email. The SpeedGrader tool allows for efficient feedback across different assignment types. You can organize your course materials such as documents, images, and videos into themes or weeks for improved accessibility and ease of navigation for your students.

In Canvas, students have access to their own collaboration pages through groups, where they can engage in discussions via forums, share files, or collaboratively create texts and presentations. Assessing student knowledge is made easy with formative or summative quizzes and assignments, which can incorporate multimedia elements such as images or recordings using Canvas's video tool, Studio.

At the Unit for Educational Services at Lund University Canvas guides, articles and tips are available.
