Summary, in English

This paper studies the interdependence between R&D resources and standardization performance in development-related standardization settings under strong network effects. Standardization performance is viewed as the firm’s involvement in the change process of standards as a result of the business processes of standardization. We utilize a sample from the 3GPP change request database to study firm involvement in a standardization change request process. The study supports the hypothesis that R&D resources are associated with standardization performance in development-related standardization with strong network effects
