The future of retail store formats - Conclusions from ongoing trials

Ulf Johansson will talk about the results of a recently completed research project on new physical store formats in retail. He will talk about the challenges new formats can pose internally in the organization that chooses to develop its portfolio of store formats. He will also talk about consumers' experiences in and around the new type of store format.

Zarah Rosell from Ingka will discuss new store formats from IKEA's perspective, highlighting what conclusions we can draw from ongoing trials. Zarah works as a project manager with a focus on Active portfolio management, which is about strengthening, developing and transforming existing units and markets so that they are adapted and relevant for the future in a customer meeting and to deliver sustainable and profitable growth.
