If you have been admitted to a distance learning course at the School of Economics and Management and for whatever reason cannot visit our library, you can still borrow from us and use our library services.
As of autumn 2016 the LU card is valid as a library card at the Lund University Libraries. If you already have a library card, you can continue using it.
- If you don't have a library card, you need to create a library account.
- Then send an email to: email@example.com. State your name, birth date and the course you are studying (state the course code).
- If you have a LU card, we will connect your library account to that. If you don't have a LU card, we will send you a library card by mail.
Permission to borrow material from the libraries at Lund University is subject to our common terms and conditions for loans (PDF).
If you do not have the possibility to visit the library, we can send books to you (applies only to distance course students) within Europe. You can find our books in the library catalogue LUBcat. When you have found the book that you want to borrow, send an e-mail to the library stating information on author, title and edition.
The borrowing time is at least four weeks. Reference books, journals and course books are not included in the service.
Please note that you will have to pay for the postage yourself when you return the book. You are responsible for making sure that the book is returned in time and in good condition.
When you have borrowed books from our library, you can check your loans by logging into our library catalogue LUBcat.
In LUBsearch, there are articles and reference works in full text, as well as e-books. Log in with your Student account to access the full texts.
Our subject-specific databases are listed in Databases A–Z. Access these resources with your Student account.
