Borrow at the library

Books, course books, journals, theses, annual reports and more

Student borrowing a book.

All Swedish residents that are 18 years or older are welcome to borrow from the library. If you are a student or employee at Lund University, the LU card is valid as a library card. Others get a library card at one of Lund University's libraries.

Use the library catalogue LUBcat to search for literature, both printed and electronic, and see where it is located. If the item you want is already out on loan, you can request it. You can also check your loans and extend them.

Course books and books in our Open Collection are placed on open shelves, and can be borrowed directly. Books and journals that are kept in our closed stacks (i.e. Magasin), and our books within research policy, need to be ordered.

Don’t we have what you are looking for?

If there are items you are unable to obtain through the usual channels, LUBcat and LUBsearch, you may place an interlibrary loan request.

You are also welcome to submit an acquisition request for materials which are not available at the library.

These services are available to staff and students at LUSEM.
