Food crime

Food crime, also referred to as food fraud, is a growing problem in the global food supply chain. It can undermine consumer trust in the food industry and distort competition and market conditions for producers and other actors throughout the supply chain. In turn, these effects may weaken the conditions for food security and preparedness.

The conference aims to bring together researchers and practitioners to build networks and foster further studies on the nature and extent of food fraud in Sweden, the presence of questionable actors as suppliers to the public sector, and how public procurement can be used as a tool to prevent and combat this type of crime.
