Daniel Waldenström presents his book about richer and more equal

Book presentation and networking – Professor Daniel Waldenström presents his book ”Superrika och jämlika: hur kapital och ägande lyfter alla”. 

This event will be in Swedish. 

During the presentation, Daniel Waldenström will introduce the book for about 30 minutes, followed by an opportunity for questions. There will be time to mingle over a cup of coffee before and after the presentation.

Waldenström shows that what stands out since the late 1800s is a massive rise in the size of the middle class and its share of society’s total wealth. Once there were princes and peasants and very few between. The extremes of wealth and poverty are still with us, but that shouldn't blind us to the fact our societies have been utterly transformed for the better over the past century.

"Richer and More Equal" is a benchmark account of one of the most profound and encouraging social changes in human history and a blueprint for continued progress.

Daniel Waldenström is a professor of economics at IFN (Institutet för Näringslivsforskning). Previously, he has taught at Uppsala University, the Paris School of Economics, and UCLA.
