How can the University better safeguard academic freedom? In the discussions held across the organisation this spring, one clear message has emerged: Directed research funding is a problem. There is a further opportunity to get involved and have your say.
Since the project on academic freedom and the University’s role in society was launched at the start of the year, just over 20 discussions and workshops have been held, involving nearly 400 participants from across the University. The aim is both to raise awareness of academic freedom and to gather feedback and insights from staff and students.
