8th Lindau meeting in Economic Sciences – kva.se
During five days Laureates and about 400 highly talented young scientists will be invited to join a unique week of scientific exchange, inspiration, and networking during lectures, panel discussions, and small-size discussion sessions. The participants will be recruited worldwide amongst the most promising young scholars in economic sciences.
The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in collaboration with the Ragnar Söderberg Foundation are responsible for recommending Swedish participants to the Lindau Review Panel. The panel then makes the final selection. Participation is fully funded by the Ragnar Söderberg Foundation and the Foundation Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings.
The meeting will be held from 26–30 August 2025 on the island of Lindau, situated on Lake Constance in south Germany.
Criteria
Young Scientists to attend the Lindau Meeting will be selected globally among (1) advanced graduate and doctoral students and (2) young postdocs and early tenure-track scientists in the field of Economic Sciences.
All applicants shall:
- demonstrate excellence in their principal field of studies,
- receive very strong support of their application by academic advisors and/or internationally renowned scientists, who know the applicant well (two detailed recommendation letters are required),
- not have participated in a previous Lindau Meeting,
- commit themselves to being present in Lindau for the full duration of the meeting,
- be prepared to actively participate in discussions with Laureates and young scientists.

The application must consist of:
- curriculum vitae,
- a statement of motivation (maximum one A4 page),
- letters of recommendation from an academic advisor and/or by internationally renowned scientists.
