Vision and mission
Advancing entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs through knowledge
Sten K. Johnson Centre for Entrepreneurship aims to be one of the leading centres in Europe with regard to knowledge development and dissemination aiming to strengthen entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs.
The vision will be realised by three interconnected fields of activities:
The Centre provides entrepreneurial education of high international standard, targeting national and international stakeholders, including students from all faculties and levels of study, as well as external partners. The action-oriented approach to teaching conveys knowledge based on contemporary research within the field.
The Centre conducts cutting-edge research on entrepreneurial phenomena across various contexts. Research areas involve entrepreneurial education and learning, refugee entrepreneurship, community currencies, innovation theatre in the entrepreneurship industry, and entrepreneurial ownership and finance.
The Centre initiates and develops strategic relations for mutual knowledge exchange with national and international universities, alumni, partners from the industry and other stakeholders with interest in entrepreneurship.
