Synergizing Research and Retail for Innovative Collaborations Between Japan and Sweden
Join the Centre for Retail Research and IKEA for a seminar designed to promote scientific exchange between Japan and Sweden.
The seminar is designed to promote scientific exchange between Japan and Sweden by creating a collaborative platform where researchers from both countries can share their latest findings, methodologies, and insights. By featuring distinguished professors from Tokyo University, the event will highlight cutting-edge research from Japan, fostering discussions and knowledge transfer.
Professor Yukio Ohsawa of the University of Tokyo will bring his method for innovators' data marketplace, where they apply their original method for innovation with data synergization (called Feature Concepts with Data Leaves). The methods created in his laboratory have been introduced in a large number of Japanese firms related to Data Society Alliance and national projects including the Initiative for Life Design Innovation and COI-Next Open Innovation Platform.
Interactive sessions, such as Q&A panels and networking opportunities, will encourage direct engagement and dialogue between attendees, enabling them to explore common interests and potential joint research projects. Additionally, the focus on integrating research with retail business will allow for practical applications of academic insights, further enriching the exchange of ideas and fostering innovative solutions that benefit both scientific communities and industries in Japan and Sweden.
The seminar will take place at Lund University School of Economics and Management. See map for exact location.
