Practicing Participant Observations and Ethnographies: Capturing Entrepreneurial Processes and Practices
This seminar with Malin Tillmar, Linnaeus University, is part of the SKJCE seminar series.
During this seminar Professor Tillmar will discuss using participant observation to study entrepreneurial practices, highlighting theory development and field dilemmas (e.g., closeness vs. distance, power issues). By using examples from her own ethnographically oriented research in Sweden and East Africa, she aims to inspire others to engage in informed experimentation with participant observation and ethnographic approaches in their studies of entrepreneurship.
