LUSEM Case Competition


Do you have what it takes to become LUSEMs next case champion? Apply by 19 January!

The competition will be arranged digitally. You will be provided with food, snacks and drinks during the competition, which will be delivered to you if you live in Lund.

Everyone that participates in the information meeting, at least one training session and the competition will be given a case solving certificate from LUSEM.

This theme is sustainability/disruption. Your team will solve cases with a multi-disciplinary approach. You will present your solutions to a jury consisting of LUSEM Case Academy, alumni and business representatives.

LUSEM Case Competition is arranged in collaboration with Lundaekonomerna student union, Lund University School of Economics and Management and the School’s Sustainable Future Hub.

How to apply

We encourage you to apply in teams of 4 but you are also welcome to apply by yourself or in groups of 2 or 3, and then be part of a team of 4.

The competition is open for all students at LUSEM who are members of Lundaekonomerna student union.

Important dates

The last day to apply is 19 January 2021.

You will be notified during the afternoon of 20 January if your team has been selected to compete or not.

Prior to the competition, we will offer the opportunity to participate in an information session about participating in a case competition on the 22 January.

There will be two training sessions, on the 25 January and the 1 February. You are guaranteed the opportunity to attend at least one training session if you are selected.

The competition will take place on the 4 and 5 of February. In teams of four, participants will solve business cases of different length and character. During the first day, the participating teams will solve two cases. The best teams will then advance to the second day, where they will solve a final case.

The best placed team consisting of Bachelor's students will represent Lund University School of Economics and Management 16–19 February at BI International Case Competition Nordic Edition 2021.


Selection of participants will be based on the motivation sent in with the application, as well as previous participation in case activities arranged by LUSEM and Lundaekonomerna.
