Our speakers
Emma Heikensten
Emma Heikensten graduated from LUSEM in 2012 with a MSc degree in Business and Economics. Emma is a leading voice in social sustainability and financial inclusion.
With over a decade of experience from top research institutions like Harvard and LSE, Emma has shaped SEB Asset Management's sustainability policy and framework. At SEB she also developed investment products that support gender equality, climate solutions, biodiversity, and health. Emma founded the think tank Ownershift to boost women's financial independence, influencing legislation and building key partnerships along the way. Today, Emma works with sustainability and investment analysis at Voya Investment Management in New York.
Carl-Oscar Westerlund
Carl-Oscar Westerlund is a LUSEM alumnus with a BSc in Business and Economics (2020) and an MSc in International Business (2022) from Copenhagen Business School. He currently works as a Consultant with Business Sweden’s Global Sustainability and UK Energy Teams in London, supporting Swedish companies to expand globally and foreign businesses to invest in Sweden.
Previously, Carl-Oscar worked at the Swedish Embassy in Lima, focusing on sustainable business and trade, the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Bangkok, and also worked with impact investments at IFU in Copenhagen, conducting SDG impact assessments and financial modelling.
