A lawyer and a doctor. Well brought up\, ambitious. Th eir friends Julia and Axel are different – from them\, and from each oth er. Julia fights for her convictions. Axel manoeuvres his way to political power. Desire moves like an undertow between them all\, dangerous and des tabilising. Inconvenient truths are buried\, but can only stay that way fo r so long. Meanwhile\, the country around them changes. Laws tighten. Free doms are curtailed. People begin to disappear. The personal and the politi cal collide. It is easier\, at first\, to look away than to let the facts in. Until they arrive at the door. \; \;\n\nMore information about the event: https://www.lusem.lu.se/calendar/kick-new-book-club DTSTART;TZID=GMT:20261006T140000 DTEND;TZID=GMT:20261006T160000 LOCATION:The University Library\, Helgonabacken 1\, Bromansalen END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
