How to transform from linear to circular business models?

Welcome to a new event in SSCEN's series of workshops Talk and walk toward sustainable enterprising. This time in collaboration with Aster/Vinnova in a research project on circular businesses.
Does your organization talk about becoming more sustainable or circular? Have you discussed, or even tested, a more “circular” business model or providing your customers with “circular” products or services? Have you experienced any hinders from internal and external stakeholders?
Our joint challenges in coping with sustainability challenges are huge. A key concept, of both policy and business interest, is the circular economy. Huge potentials are being claimed by embracing circularity related to recourse minimization, climate change mitigation, and also new work opportunities. However, while potentials are huge the actual business actors providing circular concepts and business models are still very few. Why is that?
In this workshop we will together discuss barriers and opportunities from a company perspective in transforming from linear to circular. We will also explore different business models and discuss their pros and cons, as well as the role of policy actors and investors for a sustainable future.
The workshop is in hybrid format i.e. you can either participate online or on site at IKDC in Lund.
