Title: Risk-Taking Under Redistribution

Abstract: This experimental study investigates how redistribution affects decision-making under uncertainty. Participants choose between safe and risky alternatives. In one treatment, earnings are subject to redistribution by impartial spectators; in the control condition, no redistribution occurs. Comparing risk-taking across these conditions identifies the causal effect of redistribution on risk-taking. The study further examines how beliefs about redistribution moderate this effect.
