According to the latest admissions statistics from the Swedish Council for Higher Education, LUSEM's Bachelor's Programme in Business and Economics (Ekonomie kandidatprogrammet) attracted 5 111 eligible applicants, making it Sweden's most popular business and economics BSc programme and the fifth most applied-to higher education programme in the country, across all disciplines. The figures refer to applications to Swedish universities and Swedish-taught bachelor's programmes in business and economics.
The programme also tops the list in terms of first-choice applicants, making the Bachelor’s programme in Business and Economics the most sought-after economics programme, taught in Swedish, at bachelor’s level in Sweden.
Strong competition
Competition for places is fierce. In the second selection round, 250 students were admitted to the Bachelor’s programme in Business and Economics, with a minimum grade merit rating of 21.04 among applicants admitted based on grades. The strong interest in the programme is part of continued high demand for programmes at the Lund University School of Economics and Management.
LUSEM offers four bachelor's programmes. Two are taught in Swedish: the Bachelor's Programme in Business and Economics and the Bachelor's Programme in Information Systems. Two are taught in English: the BSc in International Business and the BSc in Economy and Society.
