E-scooters have reshaped the way people move around cities and their impact on traffic safety has become a public concern. Andreas Bergh, associate professor in economics explains that his research has found a small increase in accidents following the introduction of e-scooters, but that the effect decreases over time. He also points out that just counting e-scooter accidents in isolation is the wrong way to go about the issue.
