In the QS World University Rankings 2027, Lund University strengthens its position as one of the world's leading universities. Ranked 71st, it has improved by one place compared with last year, and in sustainability it is ranked highest of all institutions.

Over the past four years, Lund University has climbed a total of 24 places in the rankings, but perhaps the most striking achievement is that we are ranked number one in sustainability and are the highest-ranked university in Sweden.

The QS World University Rankings are based on a number of indicators, including Citations per Faculty, International Research Network, and Sustainability. The indicators that carry the greatest weight are Academic Reputation and Employer Reputation, which together account for 45 percent of the overall score. These two indicators are based on the results of annual reputation surveys conducted by QS. The surveys target academics and employers around the world, who are asked to share their views on the world's leading universities.
